Youth Diversion Boxing Program

Who is this class for?

This INVITE-ONLY class is reserved for youths who are currently enrolled in Youth Diversion mentorship programs and provides at-risk youth with a safe and inclusive environment in which to learn valuable life skills along with boxing technique. Those youth who show dedication and promise will be granted a “scholarship” for an unlimited membership to train as often as they like.

What to Expect

Classes are broken down into 3 segments.

Strength & Conditioning

The class starts with boxing-based high intensity interval training (HIIT). We use a mixture of aerobic plyometrics, callisthenics, and Boxing techniques. It’s important to push yourself but move at your own pace.

Boxing Technique

During the second portion of the class, you will partner up and perform technical training, consisting of footwork, line drills and basic boxing techniques.

Drilling

We finish each class by putting our technique to work, hitting pads and heavy bags or no-contact/light contact sparring drills.

What to Bring

  • Indoor shoes
  • Handwraps and gloves if you have them. We have loaner gloves if needed, and we sell them on-site
  • Water bottle
